Another year of lost pace

In a new kind of stagnance

No lumens left to show

No light no hope

To hold back the water

And those who possess means

To stem the tide

Deny their imprimatur

All of the scaffolding

Superimposed

No wonder we are still

Ineffectual

All of the scaffolding

Sustainable

In contrary

Explosions will fill the sky

They continue to deny

They chose not to see

Those devoid of free agency

In contrary the world is a cold dark place

Humanity will wash itself away
