Prayer

You know what I need before I ask But still I'll ask it anyway And as we speak my heart may be The thing You choose to change So ever I will go To secret places where You hide For it's in prayer that Your mysteries Come out into the light You are always listening You you want to meet with me Who am I that you would care to speak with me But you are right here With me I repent of all the times I choose to live on yesterday Like fighting current wars With weapons of a prior praise So humbly I'll come open handed For my daily bread You'll find me in this secret place Again and again You are always listening You You want to meet with me Who am I that You would even think of me But You are right here With me You're here with me Spirit I will wait on You In silences I'm listening For what's a conversation If you have no time to speak So Lord I will be still For You made my soul to rest And there You give me pictures Of the wonders up ahead You are always listening You You want to meet with me Who am I that a holy God believes in me But You are right here With me Father in the heavens Let Your holy name be glorified Your kingdom come Your will be done On earth as in the heights Give me what I need Help me forgive as You forgive And keep me far from evil So in freedom I will live The kingdom, power, and glory is Yours Forever amen You are my devotion My forever and amen
