I wonder why we have a Dictionary

If we don't follow it for each and every word

So you can't claim self defense when you're standing on his neck

And you can't serve or protect, when brandishing a weapon

We would glorify these men when we were nine or ten

We didn't know the full extent of what the job description meant

While the First Amendment states that god and speech are safe

It oughta really change, and include our fucking race

We went from hopscotch to tag

And now we're chugging Scotch and filling body bags

When did shit become so bad?

We went from crosswalks to class

Now we're crossing names off lists we've never had

We can't wash these bloody rags

And if fear's the only cause, then you shouldn't have a job

Hell, I'm scared of my own mom

Doesn't mean she's better gone

And I'm sorry everyone, I can never do enough

And I'd love to blame the world and leave but it's way too big for all of us to run
