Lyrics
Picture a place that resides in a state of spiritual consciousness that's never fake
If we all had no face and we all had no race, there would be no individuals to hate
We wouldn't shine or debate, we'd be sublime with our fate
And egos would be characteristics of apes
But it's here that we wait, living in fear of what we make
Now scared of new bombs, once scared of earthquakes
They say life is based on evolution
Constantly adapting with new problems comes new solutions
And so on and so on, bright days and dark nights keep passing
I catch myself drinking late night, to numb old my memories flashing
As new lights get lit, old lights go out
From what used to be plenty, now it's drought
Life is like a rollercoaster, no doubt
People killing one another over money and power
An inescapable threat like Saron, the evil eye watching from his tower
After hour, minute after minute, hate keeps spreading, people keep sinning
At war to be number one, but nobody's really winning
Cause in the ending, we all live on the same rock spinning
It's time to open our eyes and see what's real
Cause with the truth, we could all be grinning
Picture a place that resides in a state of spiritual consciousness that's never fake
If we all had no face and we all had no race, there would be no individuals to hate
We wouldn't shine or debate, we'd be sublime with our fate
And egos would be characteristics of apes
But it's here that we wait, living in fear of what we make
Now scared of new bombs, once scared of earthquakes
Somewhere down this road of life, people lost their way
As if the knowledge of life was just locked away
We once had it, we must have just forgot those days
Cause now we look up to the sky, to the gods we pray
Not recognizing that it just lies right inside us
And that the truth is just a tie, doesn't choose no sides of fighting
Cause there's no violence that's righteous so why this lie to self in life denial
can't we see through the trials arising cause only the truth can judge us
So we can make a truce thats used to rule by grudges
Living by the evil root of money, only talking in dollars
That's why real communication is a crucial subject
So we can stop to solve this awful problem
Make use of love, but it's as far from flawless as we can get
Beliefs can set aside, we're all just products of divinity
The absolute entity
So we're all in the same religion, despite us thinking differently
Picture a place that resides in a state of spiritual consciousness that's never fake
If we all had no face, and we all had no race
There would be no individuals to hate
We wouldn't shine or debate, we'd be sublime with our fate
And egos would be characteristics of apes
But it's here that we wait, living in fear of what we make
Now scared of new bombs, once scared of earthquakes
Looking at the world as a whole is hard
Especially when the next block seems so far
Next to the yard on the cement, reaching for stars
A little boy dances to the rhythm of the cars
Driving by, I wonder what he'll go through or grow to from now till his next size or shoe
And what's a guy to do to ensure change will take place
Break this maze and help the shine like sun rays
Someday I hope to see my son play
In a place where there's even more to be thankful for
As I open the door and head for the street
I remember to grow even when this road gets steep
So I'm throwing a peep at what I think is neat
Hope is something you should sow when you're sleeping
Ain't embarrassed to say that's why we do it
Providing a spark of life and light through this music
Picture a place that resides in a state of spiritual consciousness that's never fake
If we all had no face, and we all had no race
There would be no individuals to hate
We wouldn't shine or debate, we'd be sublime with our fate
And egos would be characteristics of apes
But it's here that we wait, living in fear of what we make
Now scared of new bombs, once scared of earthquakes
