Sidetracks

This time I think I found it I went so far to track this down

This time I know I dived so deep I almost drowned

As I dived in the lights went dim past dead-end signs I know I crossed the line

I wanted more than I did have there was something I just had to find

And I knew it could be on the sidetracks

We all got the scars no way around it we got the thirst

Those who let it go will dry inside and they are not the first

They´ll never know just how it feels to leave the shore and sail out to the seas

To fight alone to find your place, to be hurt, lost & out of reach,

To be alive with that burning feeling

Memories, don´t look back they´re overrated

Memories, I want things that can be created only if you dare to go and find them from the sidetracks

The night closes me into it´s lap when I'm somewhere on the sidetracks

I get what I need there´s one more message I'm sending back

There's nowhere to run from pain but if you tie yourself to the sinking boats

You may learn to live with it if you know it, know all it´s haunted roads

And that's why you see I've been walking on the sidetracks
