Sea of Sorrow

When I was young, much younger than now I've learnt to swear and made a vow When I was so very young in my mind I've learnt to leave the past behind I've known hunger since I was ten And loneliness is my good friend I've learnt to smile when I feel sad When I see good times turning bad I'm on the other side now Across the sea of sorrow Yes, I can see the light now I know where the wind blows I've known love and hatred too When pain of dreams they don't come true I've learnt a lot and yet there's more With every knocking on my door I've known hunger since I was ten And loneliness is my good friend I've learnt to smile when I feel sad When I see good times turning bad I'm on the other side now Across the sea of sorrow Yes, I can see the light now I know where the wind blows
