All the girls were dancing on Saturday night

A scenery filled with dreams and worn-out lights

I was told that even backstreets were innocent

All in a time when the war was still relevant

Some things still look the same

And it seems such a long time ago

August 9 ’61 my father was born

He grew up the only child of a hard-working dad

With a loving mother caring over little they possessed

And some things still feel a little strange

The lows and highs and everything in between

1961, a childhood dream

My hometown became a city, population expands

Fields full of buildings, fields full of working hands

All these vintage melodies keep ringing our ears

Proudly made by a former generation of peers

Some things are here to remain
