There is like a plateau to happiness

People always think if I make this much money I'm gonna be happy

Or if I like get this job I'm gonna be happy

And if you don't actually enjoy climbing the mountain

And you're just like… always dreading the next one

You're never

It's like an endless hamster wheel and you're never gonna actually get there, so

Slowing down

Enjoying the process

I think… finding beauty in the pain, and not like resisting the pain

Which is something I feel like I've had to learn, for sure

Um

Is probably the biggest savior

Because there's just like

Otherwise your happiness is just gonna plateau

Because you're always going to be dreading the next mountain

And you're never gonna like bask in the accomplishment of making it over the one that you've made it over

Um, and so you have to like find pride in whatever mountain you're currently struggling up

And not worry about this like repetitive cycle

Because that's… that's progress, I feel like
