Cities of Sand

I'm an animal,

Unembraceable.

Four transparent wings

They carry the colored rings.

And every puddle turns

Into a deep, calm lake.

A vivacious dance

Until my head's awake.

Swirling dust,

Sun rays fade

While I lie in wait.

I will start to fight for

My cities of sand.

The rivers of silver

Run this land.

The mist of the meadow

Will be my cape,

We hide in the wetlands

Until we fade.

I soar to the sky high

Above the ground,

The freedom of dreamers

Has been found |here

I'm the beginning and the end,

My mind is a shelter and my friend.

I see your scornful smile.

I'm sure it's directed at me.

It says: "Dream for a while

But the facts will sink in,

You'll see."

Is it really true

I'm in another sphere?

You can't go there too!
