According to Greek mythology in the beginning there was only chaos. Erebus and night emented from this void and everything was empty, dark and silent. Home to many of the gods in Greek mythology mount Olympus was created after the war between the Olympians and the Titans a war that finally ended after 10 years and so Zeus and his fellow Olympians victorious. Mitikas the highest of all of it`s peaks was referred to as the Pantheon. This is were the gods were gathered. Olympus was a lost land. To the gods Olympus was a home that they deservered, nothing more and nothing less. Mount Olympus being the highest point would naturally sense as home of the gods.
