Daily Routine

I woke up today

And I knew it was gonna be a great day

Problems erased

And there's nothing left to focus on except the present

Never have felt a smile so big upon me

Kicking me down, throwing me out, they wish they could do

Never have felt the skies shining so bright on me

Taking my crown, standing my ground is what I should do

But I really don't want to fight

I just want to live my life

Now they are off the scene

And I can pick back up with my daily routine

The usual, the normal, the expected

I'm deep in my thoughts while I have breakfast

It's so hard, it's so hard to move on

But do I really have a choice?

Then comes some reading

God Himself is always seeing

Me in His Word, it distracts from the hurt

It reminds me who's my Maker
