Depression affects more than just the depressed person

It affects everyone around them

Many times the depressed person doesn't even realize how depressed they are

It's important for a loved one to help the depressed person get the medical help they need

Visit the doctor

Many depressed persons are resistant to seeing the doctor about their depression

Statistics show that the sooner a person seeks therapy and medication

the sooner they can enjoy living

Most folks die from depression

I don't know what a boy gotta do to get their attention

So we don't talk about it, instead we're taking brutal methods

I blame it on you, I blame it on these organizations

I blame it on societies that don't care what we're facing

I abuse drugs to numb the pain when I'm stressing

We the same as your blood and flesh

Not as strong as you think, I must confess

I'ma cry and get the shit off my chest

Watch the use of these organizations, I'm asking associations

Doing the best I can to stop depression

I don't wanna be a burden, so I take this medication

The more I see the struggle, the more I hate the man on the pulpit

I know for a fact, **** been feeding us bullshit

Useless cares in the streets I was raised in

The fact that I'm still here today, sure is a blessing

While adults shouldn't have to be observed to make sure they are still taking medications

it's sometimes necessary to be a casual observer

If they stop taking their medications you should gently remind them that they forgot to take them

Naturally, they will pretend they forgot

Hopefully they will take them

If not, it's time to notify their doctor
