that's how safe you feel

the perfect day? no, a carefully crafted space

one you can visit any time

and it's not just in your mind

it's those you choose to stand beside

those you allow in next to you

the ones who offer shoulders, to dampen or to stand upon

it's who u feel connected to

yes, blood runs thicker

and this covenant holds me

these women aren't my friends

no, they are my family
