Lyrics

On and on my situation grows
The butterfly blossoms from the cocoon
Hurling the shackles of its deceased skin,
the snake slivers as the seasons exposes purity in its truest form,
I tried ratifying my wrongs and rights,
morales translate in an obsolete language,
causing a demise to plights my soul cannot fathom,
I have the urge to disappear but stand out like a phantom,
I sometimes look at life and lose the attraction
In the garden peace resides where monsters scatter,
My mind splatters, 70,000 thoughts,
Minorities embed within my intricate subconscious, pause,
The question I ask myself,
does anyone understand me,
do I fulfil the void to live inside this tree?
When it rains I flee,
when it shines my wings spree,
The truth is I'm stuck inside an apple tree,
sometimes cherry picking,
finger pointing and dismissing other egos,
I can't let go over things I don't know,
if I don't know I half heartily try to know,
One of the major concerns my body yearns,
You rub my ego the wrong way,
I'll ensure you pay for the damage you made that ruined my day,
I'm off one again, oh my, my, my,
If you don't wanna be down to ride then you ain't by my side, my side is the real Side, my foolish pride won't be my suicide, you know why?
I can't fail if I was born To die, easy come easy go,
It was difficult from the start but still we learn,
picking friends like fruit, I was enticed by the Junk appetising my roots,
Call it a diaspora, even my blackness couldn't tell me who I was,
I don't walk around trying to be what I'm not,
I walk around immortalised,
Touching the palms of God,
I work at pleasing me because pleasing you isn't the truth,
And that's why I do what I do, that's why I'm stuck inside the blues
