So We Sing

Unseen are the hands, reaching out to me

Hidden are the waves, that roll right through me,

Just like to our lungs, in it comes and then,

Invisible the changes, and out it comes again

You can see it at the ocean's shore

Constant change knocking on our door

When we glimpse at the reason for

There is always so much more

The feelings that I feel, my thoughts and motion too,

Aren't just part of me, may they be a gift to you

Connected to the earth, Alive in our own space,

Energy engaged, the boundaries erase

Where do I end and you begin?

We're connected beyond our skin,

It's more than just empathy, That makes all of us a "we".

And so each time we sing, together, you and me,

We synchronize our waves, sympathetically,

Open up your voice, with whatever force you use,

We open up our hearts, with whatever note we choose

So we sing again

I will always sing, Until my breath is gone,

Allowing every note, to help me carry on.

Listen to the time, with every beating note,

The power of the sound coming from our throat,

When it's time that we say adieu,

We are changed by the passing through

And when sound is beyond my reach

Still more waves crash upon this beach

Hold the unseen hand, embrace the hidden wave

Take the inhaled breath, let your voice be brave
