Two months they came and went

Seems impossible to reorient

Looking back but forward moving still

Tread a path that seems to only go uphill

What to do, you were my compass rose

Can I trust when someone says they know?

Two months, who could have guessed

Still the morning sun would wake me from my rest

And the winds would keep on rising, though I wept

Dry the tears and point a way to the west

I still try to hold my gaze like you taught

On the beauty when the world is at pause

Two months, they'll pass again

Then another two, forever, til the end

Weave together like a knit and purl

Stitch by stitch til it starts to unfurl
