Abandonded by Hope

I rise through smouldering ashes

Beneath a scorched earth’s crimson glow

Abandoned by the light

To the descent of ever falling night

Suffocate, in dismay, I’m seething

Through broken echoes…

And I close my eyes as the world dissolves

The blackened sun it falls below

To obliterate a bleeding soul

Through the aeons of dusk

I grasp the wounds to feel the scars

This mortal flesh denies me

For some shelter…

Suffering is the only desire

Only desire I’ve ever known

Words of decay, deceive and desecrate

And desecrate the illusion of life…
