Lyrics

Riding this train to reality, how it has to be
The words I wrote in different tonalities is the half of me
The board of education digressing it's current tone
So I got bored of education, I studied all on my own
Sense of urgency, the reason I'm going hard on these verses
I'm putting in all my 10,000 hours to break these curses
For generations, I can't be complacent, becoming vacant
Cause who else is gonna see the dynamic and try to change it
The boulder's getting heavier, expectations behind me
The world is getting vicious, in my delusions I find peace
Confiding in the jungle has made me used to the dry heat
I'm sweating profusely in the desert, water unwinds me
From the shackles of grey souls and poison faucets
The lack of thick skin has made me who I am regardless
But the skin became thick with all the grief and losses
I became a monster when I choose to always work the hardest
Matches, light the night
Flashes, of what's inside
Watch it, it might ignite
Cassius, never lost a fight
10,000 hours, day by a day
Before I die like a coward
I'll go to my grave
From it will grow a wildflower, my spirit replaced
Again I'll rise and back to power
And fall back to grace cause
Because I always knew I would come out the coldest
Above average because that's what mama always told us
Go strive for greatness, never settle, always be the boldest
Motivation always tugged me in but barely hold us
This writing room is heavy on my hands, it forced my pen
To bend, accelerate, I hope that I can move again
These words are coming from the soul, I pray that I present
A solid body of truth until the very end
Matches, like the night
Flashes, of what's inside
Watch it, it might ignite
Cassius, never lost a fight
