Good to be Here

I got lost in a maze I made in my mind

There were parts of myself I had to leave behind

They say “no mans an island” but it’s hard to believe

I know I missed my exit but at least I’m headed east

I got a ways to go

But I ain’t gotta go it alone

Think I finally found somebody now

To help me carry that load

Tried to put off what I wanted

in the name of something better

Poor thing, she tried to love me

I just never really let her

Not sure I hit rock bottom

But I don’t need to go no deeper

Next time I find love in my arms

Believe I’m gonna keep her

I got a ways to go

Took a while to find this place

A little luck and a lot of grace

Now the pride is real, the way I feel
