Lately, I’ve felt so insecure ‘bout stupid things like making money, making memories. I see my friends lost in Japan, eatin' crepes and marrying in France. I’m stuck in Dallas, playing poker hands. If only I learned how to dance, then… I could swing my hips and move to this flow, make some TikTok clips and go-oh viral. Spit some fire and ice, I’m so fly like Spyro. I’m twenty-seven but feel eleven, ‘cuz I still got some high notes and a mothafuckin’ dream, back when I was thirteen. They say, “When you grow up, who’s you gonna be?” Said I wanna be rich, said I wanna be a star, said I wanna be fit, said I want a fancy car. Open up my eyelids, in Dallas here we are, soon to have my first kid, and my salary is par.

But despite the bullshit and the fake politics, I’ll be the first to admit, this is only the start.

I wasn’t sure how long I’d be around. Other people’s success always brought me down, ‘cuz they’re goin' places and I’m all alone. My mind used to be a fuckin’ war zone. I know that life is hard, I know that all of this is all up in my mind. I saw a psychologist. I wanted to run away, I wanted to forget, but she reminded me that it’s all up in my head, yeah.

That’s right, I’m in control. I set my goals and I make them my own. And no one else can ever stop me, drop me. Imma beat their ass if they ever try to copy. Watch me propel my life ahead. Before I found you, shit, my life was dead, but the past is behind and the future is bright. Man, what a time it is to be alive.
