Who I'm Meant to Be

Left, right, by my side, can’t help but look around

At everyone else, I feel like I’m losing ground

What can I do to find all that they have found?

Should I be like them?

I can’t keep up, can’t do it all flawlessly

They’ve figured it out, they’re running away from me

God you say you’ve made me intentionally

Is this who I’m meant to be?

Lord You know me better than I could ever know myself

And You never wanted me to be a replica of someone else

I don’t need to fit in a mold

I just want my God to take hold

It’s easy when I give You control

So when I try by myself

I’ll remember that I can trust in You alone to mold me

And when I’m lost comparing myself again

Trying to reach the impossible goal I’ve set

Remind me you see beyond what I ever can

I’ll let You guide me

I give up every part that desires to be

In control of everything I can see

By Your hands I’m all that I need to be
