The Flood

I was told by a statue that disaster is natural

that the flood doesn't know who you are

that the pouring of petrol is the idea central

to the circle of friends at the bar

but what about meaning?

what about water

what about pulling a building down

I cannot function in this man-made destruction

can't silence the ocean now the time's run out
