Trying to put it back together, cut my hands, my vision's bled

Saying "I'll always regret it." and never

"I'll never do it again." and sticking to it

The beauty of my words could never make up for how my actions affected you

Taking these lessons like if I don't, I'll die

And if I kept this to myself, then I'd be living a lie

Taking responsibility for my condition is how I move forward

Taking up my trauma as my burden, and mine alone

Self reflecting, self awareness, a better me I'm pushing toward

I might be broken shards of glass, but time and warmth will make me whole
