Top down riding around this old town radio turned up

Football late in the fall hanging with y’all late after the moon’s up

Then graduation came and we took separate paths

That was all so long ago I just have to ask

After all this time has got me out of my mind

Big show ready to go and everyone knows the songs that I’m singing

Backbeat word on the street filling the seats but I keep seeing

Your smile in every eye that wants to look my way

And every time I play our song I hear you say my name

Every now and then I open up that yearbook

And take a look at the places we went

There was nothing but time in front of us

There wasn’t one of us who knew what that meant

Do you ever think about me these days, I know it’s been a while
