Rusted Hues

I was floating down the stream

Wondering where all this was going

Like I was in a painting

Where the colors all flowed

In rusted hues

My box boat stopped

Caught on a branch

Somewhere down stream

Water is life

They say only memories remain

I looked around and I wondered what I'd found

I lit the flame

Charcoal rained down

On me that day

The Bayview sky grew dark

And I felt oh so lousy
