Lyrics
It wasn’t me who wrote this song it was the universe
I was just a vessel it controlled when i wrote this verse
Is omnipresent perspective a gift or a curse?
Watching people like their ants and i can only observe
Now i don’t mean i look down on others like they are worth less
Every piece of the puzzle is needed not one is worthless
I hope that gives you some relief take some weight off your chest
Quit down playing yourself man, need confidence
And every single person on this planet’s worth the same
Should not discriminate based on monetary gains
Nor popularity celebrities and us the laymans
You know It only takes one pop and your out the game
You never know when this train ride will end
If you will reach your goals or if it derails before then
Enjoy every moment, even the turbulence
And Make sure you get to know the ones sitting beside you, your friends
Your family and relatives
This life is too short so get the most out of it
And People nowadays spend their downtime looking down on their phones
When they’re supposed to live
This life is too short to spread hate and hold grudges
Fighting each other for our beliefs when it’s all mirages
This life is too short, why do we have to sabotage it
Why can’t we sit together by the sunset and watch it
Why can’t we just understand each other
Why can’t we just stand for each other
Love instead of fighting each other
Doves flying one after another
Why can’t we just understand each other
Why can’t we just stand for each other
Love instead of fighting each other
Doves flying one after another
I asked if this perspective is a curse or a gift
Some may think that its a gift seeing through the mist
The answer is, its a curse, ignorance is bliss
Let me explain what i mean and why I’m saying this
Go outside and look at every person you can find
Try imagining the things going through they minds
Every single one is living an entire life
Like you, plus 8 billion more at this moment in time
They were once a child, innocent, just like you
Laughed, cried and smiled, played pretend, just like you
Found their favourite song, food, and scent, just like you
Have insecurities and interests, just like you
And some are disrespectful to the ones they’ve never met
Yelling at the workers feeling like they better than them
Spreading negativity to other people instead
Of dealing with the problems their heads
The curse is i have to witness the world without a filter
Of biases that could keep me warm in the cold harsh winter
The harsh world that we live in is far from perfect
And there are some things that i know are for certain
We will keep on wanting more ‘cause of greed
Put each other down for our self esteem
Hate on others for our own insecurities
Show our true selfish nature when we start to bleed
Why can’t we just understand each other
Why can’t we just stand for each other
Love, instead of fighting each other
Doves flying one after another
Why can’t we just understand each other
Why can’t we just stand for each other
Love, instead of fighting each other
Doves flying one after another
When i was little adults used to feel like gods
Untouchable, always knew what’s best, wisdom they brought
I respected them, on the pedestal at the top
They were so strong and perfect or so i thought
As i got older my rose tinted glasses melted away
Little by little i woke up and things were never the same
Like the world got less saturated there were less fun and games
Even on the days the sun shined it felt like it rained
You can say the sun is shining a different ray of light
People have been the same i just started to realize
That they are also only human they have things to hide
We all have our own challenges to fight
But in the end, we can only strive to do better
Do our best so if we were to write ourselves a letter to the future
We’d read it and see that society’s more peaceful than ever
And It’s better late than never
Why can’t we just understand each other
Why can’t we just stand for each other
Love, instead of fighting each other
Doves flying one after another
Why can’t we just understand each other
Why can’t we just stand for each other
Love, instead of fighting each other
Doves flying one after another
