Lyrics

The law is the same for everyone. Everyone must be judged according to the same societal rules. But is that fair enough to apply the same justice for all while considering that all persons aren't in equality ?
I think I need to apologize,
But I hesitated after all this time,
There are nothing that I can say,
Or nothing that I can do,
That could change anything
That could undo the past.
I'm guilty for what I've said,
I'm guilty for what I've done,
I assume the judgment that has been made,
The irreversible punishment that has been mine.
At the time I was ignorant,
I wasn't able to understand my thoughts,
'Cause everyone around me had though
That I was normal and just stupid and mean,
The truth is that I was always different,
And that I've long made efforts to fit with normality.
I'm guilty for what I've said,
I'm guilty for what I've done,
I assume the judgment that has been made,
The irreversible punishment that has been mine.
It's hard for you to understand,
Because you're within scope of normality,
Socially acceptable and integrated,
While I'm a borderline person,
With all that it implies,
In my behavior and my acts.
I don't need your pity or forgiveness,
I just would like to explain why,
I have said what I said,
And done what I'm done,
I've felt guilty until today,
And I just want to be freed
I'm guilty for what I've said,
I'm guilty for what I've done,
I assume the judgment that has been made,
The irreversible punishment that has been mine.
Even if i've suffered and that I suffer again,
Even if I've never receive compassion
Or just a simple consideration
Because I was mentally ill.
I was mentally ill.
