Night and Day

Why are the nights

So clean and bright

And the days so bleak and black?

At night I feel strong and alive

But by dawn so weak and slack

Could it be

That the sun's too real

Or the azure sky's too true?

Perhaps the world's a bit too gray

For my bloodshot eyes of blue
