Now my life’s better than I visualized, it’s past my bar

Last week we were conversing ‘bout how our escapade’s ajar

Then I pulled my card, the mere assumption of likelihood is something I had to discard

Now I’m measuring the yards in the yard between the trees

To see if there’s enough room for me to put up a hammock I can vanish into, selfish needs

Haven’t been met yet still I get the sentiment of closure, overexposure to greed

Is what made that take place, not turning for discernment, I save face
