23 years old and Georgia was her name

We met at a run down bar on the out skirts of LA

She was a run-away and I was just passing through

We fell in love that night and before we both knew it

We were gone

Only took about 3 short months and we were sayin' our vows

At a little chapel from a man wearing sideburns and standing proud

We were just passing through on the way back to my hometown

Where I had familiar names and high school flames and people I use to make proud

Bet they say oh man look where he's been

I can

Remember when

Just east of that Illionios line I could see she was having her doubts

She said This California girl don't know nothing 'bout a small town

She was stuttering fidgeting anything but listening to anything I had to say

And I said now wait a minute baby I know this is crazy but everything will be okay

Then she said Oh Man

look where we been

I can

Remember when

oh yeah

You and me were just walking down the Beach

Not a care just the sand on our feet

Looking out at the edge of the world

how'd you know just what I was waiting for

and I say Oh man

look where we been

I can

Remember When
