How can a day feel any longer?

The weight of the plow is slowing me down

The sweat on my back's making me crazy

The pull of the earth is a powerful thing

The flies in my eyes I can't even see them

The cuts in my side are deeper than wide

So how does blood coursing through veins

Make such beautiful vapour out of the rain?

I can't lie down

All for the violence

Bursting from the ground

Try to recall the peace of the evening

When eyes can close and water is cold

The sun is a gun the sun is a muzzle

It's all that there is there's nothing but this

I dream on my feet of swimming through rivers

But only this can cool me down

The glorious thought of feeling your bones cracking

Under my weight under me
