WAVES OF PAIN

Waiting for my day to come

Waiting for the rising sun

The bleakest days

And darkest nights

Have left me forlorn

Lost all sense of purpose

Could a life like this

Really be worth it?

It's like I'm reaching for the surface

Drowning under the crashing waves

I know I don't deserve to be saved

My mind is a prison

My body a shell

Of who I once was

I've lost my way

I'm sinking deeper

Into the depths of pain

Reaching and clawing

Gasping for air

The pressure is more

Than what I can bear

Still I keep fighting

Till I can't no more

Harder than

I ever have before

Beyond the surface

I can see the light

I might not make it

But I have to try

I break the surface

To see nothing but fire

With no relief
