The Mirror

I looked in the mirror and didn’t see me

Just a sketch of who I used to be

Lines on my face, a colder glow

But deep inside, the fire still grows

I’ve built and broken a hundred times

Wore a smile just to say “I’m fine”

But the silence screamed my name

And I knew… I had to change

There are storms that don’t destroy

They come to clear the sky

And when the rain is done

You see colors you’d never find

It took the fall to rise again

Now I see who I’ve become

No longer hiding from the mirror —

I’m finally looking at someone

Tried to be perfect, tried to belong

Got so good at playing strong

But every mask begins to fade

When you're standing in your own way

The hardest war I ever faced

Was with the ghost behind my face

But now the cracks let in the light

And I’m not afraid to shine
