I woke my brother up on the day the waves came to claim us all

We wrote our names in the sand just before the ocean rose to cover the land

I told him I can't say I remember why I came, and he said nothing, and just kept staring

I stood in the street where no cars were driving, I stared at the sky where no planes were flying

I saw the sons and daughters crying, and I know why
