Lyrics

Please don't test me
Please don't stress me
Things might get messy
Remind you of this message
Stay out of my way
Please don't test me
Please don't stress me
Things might get messy
Remind you of this message
Stay out of my way
Tyrone grew up in a broken home
His dad left when he was four years old
Stepdad was there but he was cold
Would slap him if he didn't do what he was told
Went to junior high made a couple of friends
Dondre and Jay three kids who didn't quite fit in
In the lunch hall they would always laugh and joke
Try to rap but choke Jay didn't have that bad of flow
Tyrone grew up as a mechanic
He had a child but him and his girl ain't plan it
He lost his job lookin' after little one
No money his baby moms took the kid and now she gone
Tryin' to keep his cool
But with no money what was he to do
Copped a gun robbed a liquor store
Swiftly kicked in the door
Waved in the 44 phone screamin'
Please don't test me
Please don't stress me
Things might get messy
Remind you of this message
Stay out of my way
Please don't test me
Please don't stress me
Things might get messy
Remind you of this message
Stay out of my way
Dondre came from a solid home
His parents loved him the most
He loved to swim and perfected his stroke
But in the hood he didn't have an outlet to grow
He was in high school crackin' jokes and laughin'
Saying Ty the mechanic and Jay got rappin'
So what am I supposed to do but trappin'
So skipped out of college and sold drugs on the back end
Years passed by and the friends drifted apart
They collectively went into their respected arts
Still on the same block didn't live that far
Every now and then they'd catch up at the bar
Dondre heard on the news Jay signed to a label
Tried callin' his old friend but the phone line went stale
Couldn't believe his old friend left him in the past
He opened up a drawer with a gun and mask screamin'
Please don't test me
Please don't stress me
Things might get messy
Remind you of this message
Stay out of my way
Please don't test me
Please don't stress me
Things might get messy
Remind you of this message
Stay out of my way
Jay was a prodigy a lyrical poet
For all the middle school only his best friends would know it
Tried to spit in front of an audience
But he was so nervous he almost vomited
His friends pushed him out the comfort zone
Propelled him to take a chance on the microphone
After a few demos got passed around
Suddenly Jay seemed to be the talk of the town
Jay got signed with a nice fat chain
The fortune and fame flooded his brain
He tried calling Dondre and Tyrone
But it's been so long they had different phones
He went to the bar to try and catch up
Seen Tyrone there and they settled up
When they left the bar both a little tipsy
In the back alley Dondre with a mask screamin'
Please don't test me
Please don't stress me
Things might get messy
Remind you of this message
Stay out of my way
Please don't test me
Please don't stress me
Things might get messy
Remind you of this message
Stay out of my way
