I didn't plan on making an album.

Then again, I didn't really plan anything last year.

It started as a 2 AM voice memo, then another.

No target in mind, just quite a bit on mine and me trying not to lose it.

I wish I could say I did, but I didn't write these songs for you guys.

I wrote them for me.

Not to put them out, just to get them out.

Then I wrote a song, one you'll soon hear, that somehow tied it all together.

And I looked back at my 2 AM voice memos you could hear me falling apart through, and I realized I had a full record, and I didn't even know it.

If you would’ve told me a year ago, it wouldn't hurt anymore, that I'd fall in love, we’d move in together, get a dog, and not only I'd have an album done, but it would end on a happy note… I would have said you're fucking insane.

Somewhere when I wasn't looking, the hardest year in my life became the best thing that’s ever happened to me.

If I learned anything last year and writing these songs, it’s that healing isn't planned, and it doesn't happen overnight… It's gradual.
