Lyrics

Know how to charm up a stranger, know how to clean up the kitchen
Know how to cook up a banger, know how to sit here and listen
One thing I can't seem to figure is how it all spose to fit in
So you can see I been fractured, leave you to pick up the pieces
Maybe its all be give-and-take, just as simple as you think
Not as magic as you wish, but not as tragic as you make
Cause every time I live on passive, feel like nothing happening
Then the second I get active, I get thrashed at rapid pace
Concussed and lose the feeling, usually used to guide my way
Convince myself I'm healing, really feel myself degrade
Struggle to maintain my vision, as I babble endlessly
Now I feel like I'm demented, only certain things will change
But the pain keep getting deeper, like the lines drawn on my face
And the further back I'm reaching, then the further back I'll stay
Wish I could just leave a piece of me, for future me to take
but I stay and guard the memories until rot away
I'm rooted in the simple route that everybody takes
and every time I'm branchin out another node will break
I thought I figured something out, knowing bout give and take
But until I learn to go without, I'm just exchanging fates
Know how to charm up a stranger, know how to clean up the kitchen
Know how to cook up a banger, know how to sit here and listen
One thing I can't seem to figure, is how it all spose to fit in
Know you can see I been fractured, leave you to pick up the pieces
It ain't fair to you, it ain't fair to me
Is it a compromise? We both suffering
Want you to hold me down, but you stuck underneath
the surface when we drown, is this how love should be
Maybe it's all about effort, and I just gotta keep trying
I know I'm good in the moment, but kinda awful with timing
I know it's kinda ironic, fixate on rhythm and rhyming
Between the bass and high hats, I find a place for desire
I find a passion for living, I see a future and past
Sometimes it felt a distraction, until it started to last
Felt like "I'm regularly making the strides I'd dreamed in the past"
Until I looked to your face, and saw there was no impact
For all the rushes and pushes, I felt from my inside my psyche
I thought, I don't need a person, outside myself to excite me
But when my closest connection, don't feel a thing from my writing
I take that deep as a lesson, and start erasing my lying
So here we are at the genesis, with the pen fully present
Admitting to all my recklessness, buildin out my regrets
Tryna flush out these images that stay trapped in your head
The cycle only repeat itself, again and again
You seen me charm up a stranger, haven't been cleanin kitchen
Come home to you cookin dinner, go and record my resentments
One thing I can't seem to figure, is how it all spose to mix and
Feel like I'm makin us fractured, just tryna clean up the pieces
It ain't fair to you, it ain't fair to me
Is it a compromise? We both suffering
Want you to hold me down, but you stuck underneath
the surface when we drown, is this how love should be
Maybe it's all about honesty, can you see how I'm coming
Ain't out here tryna embarrass ya, hoping to clear the air up
Cuz just the foggiest difference between me and my persona
Can only deepin the rift, that can't exist if I wanna
Still have a villainous ego, and be a decent role model
But I can't impact the people, if I can't sort out my problems
And be a unified being, who can still dote on my mama
While understanding my value, in spite of all the trauma
That drag me out to the water's edge (a place I still love to visit)
A place where it feels like music is really calling my spirit
So for as long as I do this, and for as long as you hear it
I hope my honesty can be something that's cleansing and healing
I want to strengthen a stranger, know how to clean up my head
Know I have some much to learn from all the love of my friends
One thing I can't seem to figure, is how it all spose to blend
Even though I've been fractured, maybe this aint how it ends
Hold me close tonight, baby
We ain't gonna sink, you'll see
Floating on our love, cuz we got enough
To fill up the whole dry sea
Hold me close tonight, baby
We ain't gonna sink, you'll see
It's just you and I, as we brave the tide
In your eyes, see all I need
