Every time machines replace hand work, human dexterity gets befuddled: because hands were trained for a technical skill, based on a specific necessity; and they have lost that ability since devices, in which our cleverness has frozen forever, made them become useless. So nowadays blacksmiths, who once knew how to transform an iron block into any kind of thing using fire, hammer and chisel, have become incapable. And today they just know how to adapt and combine with screws pieces already made by factories and foundries. They don't even make by themselves keys or nails: that's why it's also hard to find someone able to shoe a horse; and same goes for sculptors, carpenters and tailors... On the contrary, masses of sad and stupid factories workers, who just know how to do a single move, has taken their place
