I had been overthinking, overthinking will I live a full life?

Or are my ideas, mixing with my Father's perfection, gon' produce a dull light?

And I know that I cannot be perfect I am only human I just wanna do right

But it's things I been chasing that's already given in God, cause He's given us new life

I just want it to feel right

Thought I loosened up, see I was still tight

Not gon' lie, I ain't used to the real type

So much fake gotta ask"Is it real life?"

Go against the grain, run up the hill type

Onna incline I'm riding a steel bike

And it seem the odds against me, but my God is with me, so when it's hard I still fight

Tryna get some film, see what the reel like

What I'm looking like?

Know I ain't like no other, a look-alike

Gotta strive to be great, so I'm pushing, right?

And I'd thought it'd be easy, it's never easy

If you get it too quick it's gon' slip, fingers greasy

I gotta stay focused cause His people need Him and I know that this life of mine is a treaty

I'm asking for strength and for separation from the flesh and the things of this world that be pleasing

But I know that it ain't my time to go so I gotta stick it out and let Him lead me

I gotta stay focused on the God Who's with me and trust in Your promise that You'll never leave me

And lean on your Word even though it gets hard in the midst of the storm, when my strength is depleting

Gotta walk but not by what I'm seeing

Even though it ain't easy, can't let the smokiness shake and impede me

Gotta stand on Your Word firm, cannot be worried, distraught like a heathen

Even though know the waves comes, sturdy Foundation, we taking the beating

This what He did

Took me to the grave

Out of my sunken place

Through You I am raised

Ouu with You I'm safe

The old me decayed

But still in this body, the flesh and the Spirit be battling, wrestle to follow His Way

Still feeling the tension, but You made a way

In Your presence, get healed day to day

I'm covered in blood so I know I'm okay

To perfection no longer a slave

They can judge, they can talk, I don't care what they say, uh

I been made His image, defined by His Word and not by my mistakes, uh

And His love it gets real, time and time I'ma fail but You never forsake

Call me Your own, said You'll never abandon, ain't always believin' but You choose to stay
