Lyrics

There’s a taste of iron on my tongue,
A whisper of rust that drips like rain.
My veins bloom with mold in silence,
Gardens of shadows nesting in my bones.
The walls of my chest are hollow chambers,
Echoes of flies trapped in their prayers.
Every breath is glass breaking inward,
Every silence a hymn to the grave.
Skin folds like paper soaked in ash,
A fragile diary of unspoken wounds.
Time carves its teeth across my marrow,
Carrying me slow into the dirt.
I smile with teeth made of dust,
I bleed in colors no one can name.
The body is a cathedral collapsing,
Its windows shattered, its altar defiled.
What was holy has turned to poison,
What was alive has become still.
Hands tremble with the weight of silence,
Fingers stained with the scent of earth.
My reflection coughs a broken halo,
And love dissolves into smoke.
Static veins sing with fever,
Electric pulses glitch out of tune.
If beauty fades into the void,
Then decay is all that remains.
When they look into my eyes,
They’ll wonder if I ever breathed,
Or if I was only the echo
Of something already gone.
