Beloved brothers and sisters, today we gather in the heart of Strand, in a place many call

An informal settlement

But I want to remind you, to God this is holy ground, for where his people are, there his

Spirit is also

We stand here not only to celebrate music, but to proclaim a vision, that this community

Will be safer, it will be cleaner, it will be a place where dreams are born and not buried

That our young men and women will rise with hope, with dignity, with strength

Today we bless this work, this studio album, and the hands that have labored over it

I am a young man called David, a son, a dreamer, a producer who is pressing forward to make it in life

Just as the shepherd boy David in the Bible picked up his harp to sing songs unto the Lord, so too may this David lift his beats, his rhythms, his sound, as a song of hope to the nations

God says in Psalm 23, written by David himself, the Lord is my shepherd I shall not want, he makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside still waters, he restores my soul

My prayer David, is that God will be your shepherd as you walk this path, that he will restore your soul when the weight of life is heavy, and that your music will become streams of living water to a thirsty generation

So we pray Lord bless this album, bless every ear that will hear it, every heart that will be lifted, every life that will be inspired

Bless this community of Strand, let it shine with your glory, let it rise in safety, in peace, in cleanliness, and in unity

And let this moment be a testimony that even from the so called forgotten places, greatness can arise

We declare that no weapon formed against this young man, against this community, against this dream, shall prosper

For if God is with us, who can be against us? And all God's people said, Amen
