When the sun's an unwelcome prize

Where do you go in the glow

Evading the shine

You wanted more to stay still asleep for

You are supplied full proofs and dilated eyes for mourning the morning light

Around we go

Unsure where we land

But certain there's nowhere to go

Are you trying to die slowly enough not to notice?

Are your lashes permanently closed or are you just resting your eyes?

I reached my arms in your dreams disturbing your sleep

I had all of my ducks in a row

Now bereft from my still pond they have flown

What a way to walk away
