A trail forlorn and forgotten

To wander plains of endless Shades

Over seas of burning ashes

A mournful Pilgerimage

Where the stars meet at horizons edge

I slip into a passage to walk in the borders of time

Descend to nowhere, endless black outside

It drags me deeper and I bathe in the dark

Now that the last ray of light silently subsides off this world, once prosperous and thriving, now hardened into a sphere of frigid glass.

A tiny fragment, minuscule, hardly to see by the eye, is refracting the very light into an infinite splendour of colour

I see what I was bound to leave

A taste of insecurity

I feel it feasting on my soul

My future solely a black hole
