Everybody feels sure there must be all sorts of higher civilizations up there with tremendous technological capabilities we be able to pick up their signals even if they're not beamed at us

The thing that really interests me isn't so much human communication but communication with other intelligence elsewhere. And this is the biggest unknown, and of course the most exciting prospect, will we pick up signals from space, radio signals or any other kind of signals from outer space.

This is very exciting.

And I hope to live to see you know the first reception of a signal from outer space.
