You know somewhere in the middle is probably the sweet spot. You hold on so tight, while I let it go. Something to be proud of, sometimes celebrated, but we lived that life and I question this curation. Because we walk the road we walk and we choose each time it forks. We build on everything and feel them flow and grow and only sometimes do we come up short. So, we reach, and we stretch and we ain't quite fucked up yet. That's why I never wish there was an off switch, like in a futurist pantomime. I hope I never wish there was an off switch. Is there a future where that choice is mine?

That sound that you can taste. That colour you can hear. That line of text that you can't read no matter how hard you try. And nothing's staying still. You can't focus. Take a pill, because everything is everywhere and you can't keep your cool. That box you didn't fit in. That help you didn't need. That room you couldn't read. That bullshit you believed. That social cue you missed. That soft fabric bliss and I know that you see about twice as much as me. That's why I know you wish sometimes there was an off switch to help you deal with how you don't fit. Everybody must be beautiful. You want to scratch the itch by reaching for the off switch. Maybe stick around and deal with it. Build and flow. Survive and grow.
