Jack went hunting midnight, climbing up the peak

Found a glowing stone of blue, cause the shadows weak

Picked it up so carefully, blew off all the dust

Nothing strange about it, or so he thought he could trust

Took it to the butcher shop, trading for some meat

Boss held it in his hands, staring at the gleam

He thought it was stolen, til Jack spoke his mind"Found it on the mountainside" that's when fear aligned"Take it back! That's the King's property!""You'll bring danger to the village, wait and see!"

Kicked out from the shop, with nowhere left to go

Jack took the stone back home, with a heavy load

Placed it on the ground so gently on the floor

Couldn't resist the touch, he had to know for sure

Surface smooth like ice, knocked upon the side

Hollow sound echoed, something was inside

Night came falling darkness, that's when it began

Stone started moving with a mysterious plan

Something breaking through, struggling to break free

Crack! Out came a dragon, blue from head to tail

Not a stone at all it was an egg, not veiled

Baby dragon stumbling, walking toward his face

Jack smiled like he found treasure, filled with warm embrace

Reached out to touch it, bam! Flash of blinding white

Woke up with the dragon, cuddled tight and right

Big eyes looking at him, cute as can be

Then his palm started burning, what could this even be?

Looked at his hand mysterious mark appeared

Dragon started getting restless, acting kinda weird

Jack brought out some milk, thought the beast was thirst

Dragon sniffed and turned away, that wasn't gonna work

Crash! Sounded from the corner, rat was running past

Dragon jumped like lightning, hunting for a catch

Jack walked over half a rat was gone

Laughed and said"The rodents got this all wrong!"

Took the dragon outside, time to learn to fly

Jack gave him a boost, watched him soar the sky

At first he was happy, proud of what he'd done

But then the dragon kept going, flying toward the sun

Distance growing farther, Jack started feeling low

That's when his palm burned again with a sudden glow
