Pushing through the pain's become my morning routine

Feel like a complicated puzzle but I'm missing a piece

I couldn't ask no one for help cuz no one else was like me

They all grew up with happy families without the fighting

I used to write to ease the pain now when I pick up a pen

I get so lost inside my thoughts my memories all flood in

Like when I used to have a dad that I put all my trust in

Until he left and took the happiness that I had with him

I used to joke about the fact that he won't ever come back

Until I watched how all the teachers and my friends would react

They'd always joke about me in the halls or even in class

They pulled my sleeve up just to see the many cuts that I had

But I put so much effort into school and music to forget, that every night at home I wanted to put bullets in my head

I ain't had nobody I could even visit just to vent so I was forced to try to silence all the voices in my head

Nobody knows the pain I felt and how I wished I was dead

They only saw the drummer boy with headphones stuck on his head

The kid with grades that were so high he probably studied in bed

Because I did and maybe that's why I don't have any friends

I never went to any parties, too afraid of the cops, instead I wrote about the pain and how I wished it would stop

Put all the damage into lyrics then recorded and dropped another song to keep my rope from getting tied in a knot
