Lyrics

Mr. Hong: When we would go visit you in Asia, we would visit for three months at a time. What was that like for you as a parent?
Dad: Well, obviously like I said, I do miss a lot of bonding time with you guys when you were growing up
I miss quite a bit of the physical and actual timing because of my job nature of being away
So when you guys are out and visiting me, I felt that that's the best way to make up these times
I don't know if you remember, I would always try to figure out a way to entertain you guys, have a lot of activities, you were doing badminton, Jie (my sister) was doing some internship, just to make sure that you're just not there playing video games all day
Mr. Hong: which I did do that too. I think the first couple summers I was less willing to go outside, but then over time, I was more willing and more cherishing those moments
Dad: The best moment, and it's the worst as well, is we shoot firecrackers
Mr. Hong: Was that in Tianjin?
Dad: In the summer, full of mosquitoes
Mr. Hong: What was that? Was that Fourth of July or something. It can't be Dragon Boat Festival, it would be too late
Dad: Oh no, that had nothing to do with any festival. Seriously, I asked my driver to go and buy all the big ass fireworks that you could legally buy. So we bought a whole bunch and just set it up
Mr. Hong: Were we in a parking lot or something?
Dad: Yeah it was a brand new neighborhood, remember?
Mr. Hong: Was this in Tianjin?
Dad: Yeah, and remember if you walk around there's like a neighborhood of Harvard, neighborhood of Cornell, ivy league school logos. You remember that?
Mr. Hong: That must've been 2008?
Dad: 2009. oh wait, 2008 was Olympics, so it wasn't 2008
Mr. Hong: I don't think we
Dad: 2009 or 10. eight we were in Hong Kong
Mr. Hong: That's when we put the two tvs..
