Lyrics

Mugging old ladies who are out late at night,
who’ve just been to bingo, because they are lonely,
Robbing young mums out with their babies,
Holding a knife to the child until they pay up,
Terrorising an old man in his bed late at night,
Stealing his possessions of great sentimental value,
A poor young couple just recently married,
Come home one day to find their home ransacked.
Chorus:
You bastards, you just don't fucking care,
You're scum, you're beyond contempt,
You bastards, you do all these things,
Just how do you ever face yourself?
A one parent family out late in December,
Suffering the heartbreak of presents being stolen,
Then they have to get into even more debt,
Cos you can't tell a kid that there's no Christmas this year,
The old couple who've had the corner shop all their lives,
Wake up one morning to find it broken into,
Muggings in poor areas with high unemployment,
Where the people haven't got a penny to spare.
You’ll have to really change to earn these people's respect,
So start by helping the people to whom you've caused all this pain,
With your house breaking skills you could help the poor,
You could be a hero, a modern day Robin Hood,
So let’s see you do something really worthwhile,
Like rob the rich homes when the owners are out,
And distribute the proceeds to the people who need it,
Like the poor old tramps sleeping rough in the park.
It just isn't on to rob from the poor,
When it should be the rich, who you make pay,
Because poor families are very rarely insured,
Whilst the rich ones are and can easily stand the loss,
But even so only take things of financial value,
Don't damage or take things like family photos,
We don't want people to say that we've got no feelings,
We just want to see the wealth more evenly shared.
There is enough for us all,
No one need go without,
A system which is based on need,
Is far better than one based on greed.
