Many years ago I started down life's highway

Never knowing what lay on the road ahead

Travelling day and night to try and make a living

There's many a night I never saw my bed

I've made friends in every corner of this big wide world

And sometimes I yearn to see them once again

Happy times are locked away inside my memory

So I always think about them now and then
